The Electrolysis Probe
How Electrolysis works is important for you to know. The easy, simple way to explain it is that your electrologist finds each individual hair one by one through inserting an electrolysis probe with an extremely fine needle and inserts it straight into each and every hair follicle. A small amount of electric current is then delivered to the needle by a responsive electronic device called an epilator. Depending on the technique used, the electric current destroys the hair root either by heat or chemical action and in some methods by both at the same time.
The electrolysis probe your technician uses to remove your unwanted hair is usually about the same size as the hair being removed. A good electrologist uses different electrolysis needles based on the type of hair being removed.
